The DRUM INDEX CONCLUDES!!!!!!
Daniel ‘The Truth of Music’ Pouliot is the single greatest drummer that HTB ever had the honor of playing with.
HTB first took note of Daniel when they saw him with his other band ‘Bleed Kansas’. Even in a room of blasting guitar and bass his each and every drum hit was so clear and piercing in was damaging to experience in the best way possible. After making fast friends Daniel was even able to sit-in on bass for a tour after Andy had departed. Daniel can also be seen in the final scenes of ‘the fuckin 69 tour’ DVD. At Lord Golds party he can be scene in the mirror laughing hysterically.
While most eager young musicians and average music listeners often qualify ‘playing really fast’, ‘playing odd-time signatures’ and all sorts of fancy flashy crap is the sign of a good drummer, DANIEL is the realest fucking deal.
HTB has met “the tech” drummers who sit in backstage with their drum pad all night practicing mundane technique in full display of all to be at “the top of their game” and when they hit stage, oh fucking boy, they are going to do everything you don’t understand to make your head spin. The unknown is always impressive.
HTB has met the “mouth drummer” who is perpetually going on and on and on about gear or youtube ‘pro videos’ that he’s watched and all the things he knows about the art of drumming. He’s always got the gear, the connects, the hook-ups and sells the image like a dollar burger at Dairy Queen.
HTB has met or played with all types.
Daniel is the Zen Monk of drums.
You want fast… ok, he does it.
YOu want complex… ok, he does it.
You want shred… ok, if you waaaAAAnt.
But truth is he would rather play 4/4 all night.
He can do almost any technique. He can do any style.. on the spot like it was nothing.
Yet….
He doesn’t have to practice allllllll night or even warm up just to play one set.
He doesn’t need to dialogue with anyone who will listen about what ‘he knows’.
He just… IS.
People not only need to take a tip from Daniel on drum technique and versitillity but of general philosophy of being a musician as well.
If you see this guy, smoke him out or buy him a plain hamburger with nothing on it. A true pleasure of a human being.

PART 2 of the HTB DRUM INDEX: Eli Green
So, after Jason Karuza got a life, HTB had to find
a new drummer FAST for the three month summer tour they booked
including 1st ever international dates. Erik was in Spain or some shit
being a international gormandizer. David found Mr. Eli Green on Craigs List.
Eli had never heard of Horse and didn’t really care for the music. He had a full sleeve tribal arm tattoo!!! Impressive!!!
Eli loved bands that had ‘odd time signatures’ and he loved hamburgers of all shapes and forms.
Eli had a hard time playing the songs for HTB. He would sometimes stop or just play different parts.
It was confusing.
Eli was kicked out after he pushed ‘The General’ into a merch bin for getting red bull on his shorts.
Eli’s highlights include totaling a European rental car in a parking lot while on the way to return it with the explanation “Hit stuff, lets go.” and introducing Dash “Velvet touch of blackest night” Arkenstone to the band.
